well, now we’ve made it.  yesterday, the girls and I had a morning at the teahouse and we made the blog.

  1. Oh, oh, oh — how come I never knew about your blog before?! I’m keenly looking forward to some great reading! And I’m sorry about spelling Sela’s name wrong; I’m going to fix it right away.

I meant what I said about the three of you reading together in the wing chair. It was literally a dream come true for me. I have waited SEVEN YEARS to see a Mommy and her two girls curled up in a chair reading together. Thank you so very much! xo

    • Karen- thanks so much for spending some time here. and thank you for the beautiful flowers that you sent home with my husband…I didn’t know if you knew that the man with no hair feverishly buying desserts from you over the counter (and seriously you wouldn’t know it looking at him- who can sit down and eat three of your desserts in one evening?- it’s amazing how you can feel hatred toward someone you love) was my other half, but they were so lovely. Sammi saw them this morning and said that they reminded her of the tea house. no worries about Sela…we’ve doomed her to a whole life of misspelling.
I have enjoyed reading your blog so much…you are a terrific writer and I just love the things you write about. I feel so honored to be a part of it. I’ll definitely see you again soon. 🙂

      • No, I did NOT know that was your husband! But he spoke of taking desserts home for “my wife”, and just the tone he said those two words – the wealth of gentleness and love that was imbued in those two words – inspired me to send the flowers. I didn’t think I’d ever know who received them, but I hoped that she would enjoy them. You can imagine how thrilled I am to hear that it was YOU!! xo
