I absolutely love the book, “Let Me Hold You Longer” by Karen Kingsbury.
Sammi calls it my crying book since every time we read it, I cry. We usually take notice of the ‘firsts’ and the ‘lasts’ often slip by us. The last time we hold our children in our arms or our laps, the last time we have to tuck them in at night, etc.
And so I’m taking good note of this ‘last’. Sammi is no longer a preschooler but a kindergartener in the waiting.
It was fitting for her last day in preschool that her class would take a trip out to the hangar where her dad was waiting for her. She said that she felt very lucky.
No, Sammi, we’re lucky!
